crittall House - Hambledon

Our clients, a young family, tasked us with transforming this Grade II listed house in the South Downs National Park into a comfortable, light filled family home, with an aesthetic to compliment the age of the original house without imitation. The layout of the rear, service areas of the house was modified, incorporating an existing stable and garage with a new extension to form a large, bright family kitchen. Exposed brickwork, Corten steel panels and Crittall style glazing reflect the position of the kitchen within the original service area and create an overall feeling of pleasing solidity and quality befitting of the existing house.
